The Passport’s Parable
The Passport’s Parable
A tiny booklet holds the key,
To cross the borders wide and free,
A powerful pass to explore,
Worlds far beyond our native shore.
For some, its pages shine and gleam,
Opening doors like a sunlit beam,
On feathery wings, they freely soar,
Embracing what the world has in store.
Yet others bear a fragile shield,
Their passport’s might does not reveal,
Obstacles rise, barriers grow,
Their dreams restrained, unable to flow.
In hands adorned with golden ink,
The privileged few, they simply blink,
The world invites them in its lair,
An open embrace, no wall to bear.
But what of those who meekly seek,
To tell their tales in lands they speak?
Their passport’s weight, a heavy chain,
Silencing voices like soft refrain.
Yet still, hope shines amidst despair,
As empathy kindles love and care,
Together sow the seeds of unity,
To dissolve boundaries with sheer sanctity.
