The Resilient Spirits
Title: The Resilient Spirits
In Texas, where the Lone Star glows,
A cruel act of hate-laden prose,
Against immigrant souls, it shows,
Their dignity trampled, dreams enclosed.
Land of freedom’s cherished pledge,
Now tainted by a biased wedge,
The Constitution’s corner ledge,
Shakes with injustice, teetering on the edge.
Strangers, once welcomed with open arms,
Now grapple with passed-on harms,
A symphony of voices cries and alarms,
In this unyielding storm, they cling to their charms.
The soul of Texas cries within,
Its heritage tarnished, stained with sin,
A land built on hope, now grows thin,
As fear and prejudice create a chasm to begin.
Yet, amidst this darkness, light still shines,
In the hearts of immigrants, resilient vines,
They rise above, like the phoenix that aligns,
Courageous souls, reclaiming their defined.
Let compassion guide us through this strife,
To champion justice for a hopeful life,
And in Texas, let the spirit of the land thrive,
United we stand, together we strive.
