The Shifting Ground

The Shifting Ground

Title: The Shifting Ground

My home, once a haven, now stands forlorn,
Its worth diminished, my heart feels torn.
In this quandary, I find myself confused,
Should I let go or suffer a loss so bruised?

The walls that embraced laughter and cheer,
Now whisper tales of decline and fear.
A sanctuary, once filled with joy and ease,
Now sighs with burdens, begging for release.

Like an anchor, its value steadily sinking,
I ponder the choices, my thoughts intertwining.
Should I hold on, hoping for a market rebound?
Or relinquish my ties, as the losses compound?

Emotions tangled with financial strain,
Uncertainty engulfs me, like a torrential rain.
Should I part with a place that holds memories dear,
Or gamble on a future, unclear?

Change knocks on my door, demanding a choice,
A crossroad emerges, amplifying my voice.
Yet, amidst the turmoil, a glimmer of hope,
A chance to start anew, to elope.

For a home is more than bricks and mortar,
It’s the essence of dreams and the heart’s true daughter.
So, I’ll take a leap, trusting in the unknown,
Hoping my new nest will feel like home.
