The Silent Storm
Title: The Silent Storm
Invisible tendrils fill the air,
Whispered fears that none can bear.
Unseen hands, to hushed voices, cling,
While silence masks the suffering.
The surge of Covid gathers pace,
A somber cloud shrouding our embrace.
Yet, the truth remains hidden in plain sight,
Concealed by apathy’s blinding light.
As numbers rise, the warnings fade,
In a world that seems so unafraid.
The streets may buzz with ignorant bliss,
But beneath the surface, anguish persists.
No news alerts, no urgent pleas,
Acknowledging the mounting unease.
Why do we shy away from what we should face?
Why seek refuge in a blind embrace?
Let us break this silence, unite as one,
Combat the ignorance that needs to be undone.
For only through awareness can we persist,
Fighting this storm, in which we all exist.
