The Vanished Mirage
The Vanished Mirage
In shadows cast beneath a moonlit glow,
An American fugitive sought solace’s woe.
To Scotland he fled, his whereabouts unknown,
A phantom of justice, in lands not his own.
From darkened alleys to highland’s embrace,
He wandered in silence, a ghost with no trace.
Yet whispers of truth echoed through the night,
The fugitive’s secret, exposed to the light.
With extradition’s grasp, the charade unveiled,
His fanciful mirage forever curtailed.
No longer could he evade justice’s hand,
As fate’s mighty current steered him to land.
Now captive, he’s bound by remorse’s chains,
Confronting past actions, their lingering stains.
For the sins he eluded, redemption he’ll find,
Within the confines of his fragile mind.
Seeking redemption, he walks through the haze,
Haunted and tormented, through endless maze.
Will his journey lead to forgiveness and peace,
Or will it unravel, his soul never released?
