The Wail of Injustice
Title: The Wail of Injustice
In Islanders’ Lane, fierce spirits dwell,
Where glory and honor forever swell,
Yet in this moment, their hearts did break,
As officials made a terrible mistake.
Passions ablaze, the game was alive,
Bodies collided, determination did thrive,
But in the midst of a battle so grand,
The referee imposed a heavy hand.
No evidence, no reason they could see,
For this call, so unfair it would be,
But the whistle blew, the crowd let out a cry,
As dreams shattered beneath the dark sky.
Injustice prevailed, a stain on the ice,
As players fought on, beneath their strife,
Fans enraged, their voices thundered,
Their loyalty to their team, unwavering, undisputed.
Lane Lambert, a stronghold of fire,
Roared his fury, with a burning desire,
To set things right, to fight for his kin,
To question the judgment that buried them in sin.
And still they played, hearts bruised and scarred,
United they stood, in spite of the marred,
Their spirit unbroken, they pushed through the pain,
Knowing victory would come, like sunshine after rain.
