The Whims of Wealth
Title: The Whims of Wealth
In boasting grandeur, he hailed the market’s rise,
As numbers climbed skyward, reaching the skies.
But now in irony, he speaks his disdain,
For rich become richer, causing him pain.
From podiums, he sang praises with delight,
Of record highs gained through his presidential might.
Now skeptics sneer as his words contradict,
His newfound resentment, a political trick.
Yet, stocks soar higher, heedless of his scorn,
In bustling markets, fortunes affluently born.
For wealth knows no bounds, defying his wrath,
While the privileged few revel in its aftermath.
With words that oscillate, like a pendulum’s swing,
Power and privilege, their echoes ring.
Through paradoxical verses, his beliefs unfold,
The disparity of wealth, in stories untold.
And as the markets dance, in a wealth-filled trance,
The ripples of prosperity magnificently advance.
But still, the chasm remains, between rich and the rest,
A clear, bitter notion that persists, and protests.
