Tragedy’s Grasp

Fear now lingers of what came to pass,
A deadly blow to innocence so pure,
A 21-year-old woman found dead in trunk,
Grief overwhelming the ones unsure.

The tragedy had swiftly come to be,
Arrested was the woman’s boyfriend,
The pain unbearable for family,
The sorrow unbearable and profound.

Forced to come to grips with the facts,
The mourning starts and nothing to cheer,
Nothing can somewhat lessen the grief,
Tragedy’s hold is now too severe.

All emotions collide in their helplessness,
Unbearable truth greets those in despair,
Searching for the truth the helplessness fades,
All left is the memories they will share.
