Trapped in Chaos
Title: Trapped in Chaos
A tranquil land of peace we sought,
Ecuador’s beauty our hearts had caught.
But fate’s cruel hand did intervene,
Turning our joyful retreat into a hellish scene.
Gunfire echoed through the air,
Filling our hearts with unbridled despair.
Screams erupted, chaos ensued,
As the cartel’s civil war for blood ensued.
Once idyllic streets transformed into strife,
Our dream vacation turned cursed with life.
Fear danced in our eyes, panic gripped our souls,
As violence shattered Ecuador’s peaceful roles.
In this foreign land, we felt so alone,
Yearning for safety, a place to call home.
Amidst the turmoil, we clung to each other,
Praying for salvation, shelter from this smother.
But through the darkness, unity arose,
Brits united, our spirits unbowed, undisturbed by foes.
Supporting one another, we found strength anew,
Defying the chaos, our resilience shining through.
Today we stand, survivors of the storm,
Testaments to the human spirit, true and warm.
For Ecuador may have shattered our glee,
But we remain unbroken, forever free.
