Unheard Pleas
Title: Unheard Pleas
Beneath the mighty shadow of the Senate’s dome,
Voices of desperation echo, yet stand alone.
From New Jersey to the Senate’s halls of power,
Fellow Democrats turn a deaf ear, hour by hour.
As New York City and Chicago sink in despair,
Migrant crises deepen, burdens heavy to bear.
Desperate pleas for aid fall on silent ears,
While anguish swells, fueled by unshed tears.
Once comrades in the struggle, now allies grow cold,
Leaving brethren to face adversity, bold.
Ignoring the plight of the innocents in need,
Leaving hope to wither, silenced in the creed.
But let us not forget, their struggles are ours,
In unity we’re strong, amidst these darkened hours.
For compassion’s light must guide our way,
Supporting NYC and Chicago, every single day.
Migrant crisis, Democrats, New York City, Chicago, plea, unity.
