Unjust Shadows

Unjust Shadows

Title: Unjust Shadows

Beneath the weight of words misspoken,
An innocent stumble, heartbroken,
From the halls of Lloyds I was chased,
The price of justice I was to taste.

They hounded me with swift disdain,
For an unintentional word’s domain,
Yet little did they truly see,
The unfairness of their harsh decree.

My truth, dismissed with ironic haste,
But now vindication finds its place,
For £500,000 is given to me,
A restitution, finally set free.

In this tale of battles lost and won,
The scars of prejudice, now undone,
May fairness prevail, like a joyful refrain,
A reminder for each of us to contain.

Keywords: unjust, job dismissal, compensation, unfairness, prejudice, restitution
