As mighty promises vanished from our sight.
Ukraine’s plea for aid, a nation’s desperate call,
But amidst the chaos, the funds slipped and did fall.

A watchful eye, a watchdog’s solemn decree,
Revealed the truth that others failed to see.
Where did the money go, tangled in the fray,
A mystery haunting, the truth kept at bay.

Yet Ukraine yearns for stability’s hand,
In this realm of turmoil, where despair does expand.
Hope lingers, encased by unanswered plea,
For the dollars lost, to finally be set free.
