Winter’s Wrath
Winter’s Wrath
Beneath a storm’s fury, the East Coast trembles,
As snowflakes dance and raging winds blow hard,
A million souls now shiver in darkness,
Bound by storms, their daily lives marred.
In frigid nights, silence perches upon homes,
Candles flicker, illuminating the gloom,
Children huddled close, their laughter subdued,
Hope in hearts, amid winter’s icy tomb.
Trees bow low, their branches laden heavy,
White blankets cover the once vibrant land,
Yet, resilience blooms within frozen hearts,
Facing adversity with united hands.
Crisp air whispers secrets through icy breath,
Nature’s symphony silenced, for a while,
Oh, how we yearn for warmth and gentle touch,
Seeking solace in memories that beguile.
But even amidst this wintry onslaught,
A unity blossoms, as neighbors draw near,
Helping hands reach out, lending a warm hearth,
Overcoming adversities, with spirits clear.
And when the sun emerges from its slumber,
Peeking through the veil of battles won,
We rise from the ashes, stronger than before,
For winter’s wrath shall never truly stun.
